We want each student entrusted to us to be successful...
Though it has been snowing today as I write this, Spring is knocking on our door. This reminds us that the third quarter is coming to a close, and the fourth quarter is less than an arm’s length away. As parents, we often wait for specific calendar dates to really get after or encourage our children academically. Well, this is a great time to do just that.
The end of the third quarter gives us an opportunity to take stock of our children’s progress. Then we urge them to finish the year well. As you well know, the academic standards at Grace Academy are high. The Spring, with its sunshine, blooming flowers, and singing birds, can really cause students to check out. They begin dreaming of warmer weather and huge amounts of discretionary time. With the third-quarter grades in hand, your student can follow up with teachers on ways to improve. Likewise, parents can shoot an email to their child’s teachers to assess attitude, behavior, and effort. Lastly, take time as a family to consider routines and areas in which your child might be struggling.
We want each student entrusted to us to be successful, but this endeavor is a partnership between the school and families.
