We Value Parents' God Given Role

At Grace Academy, we desire to partner with parents because we understand that God gives parents the right and responsibility to raise their children. We are here to assist parents in fulfilling that role.  We want to be known as a school with caring staff and for the way we value parents and the children we teach and shepherd each day. We desire quality relationships and strive towards that end.  In Ephesians 4:1-2, Paul encourages us to live a life worthy of our calling and to be completely humble and gentle, patient, bearing with one another in love.

Raising Men, Not Boys by Mike Fabarez

And while the core elements to raising children are the same, parents need wisdom for applying them to this day and age. That’s what this book is about: navigating the times and raising a generation of men on godly principles—sons who are ready, able, and motivated to represent God during their days of sojourning on this earth. Pastor and author Mike Fabarez will help parents pass the faith on to their sons, in prayer that the promises of God extend to the third and fourth generations… and beyond.

Teach Them Diligently by Lou Priolo

That is, how to relate the Bible to the raising of our children in actual, practical ways. In Teach Them Diligently Lou Priolo has given a tool that will strengthen you in this vital area.

Withhold Not Correction by Bruce A. Ray

In today's society, where parental authority is being compromised more than ever, the Proverbs 23:13 command to "withhold not correction from the child" may seem nearly impossible to obey. As both father and pastor, Ray understands the difficulties facing modern parents, and he points to firm, biblical discipline as the solution. In this practical guide, he offers direction to all parents who struggle with doubt or indecision in their roles as God-ordained disciplinarians. With timely and inspiring wisdom, Ray exposes the emptiness of contemporary advice and clearly outlines from Scripture the duties of every Christian parent.

Your Child's Profession of Faith by Dennis Gunderson

Gundersen's unique treatment of a rarely-addressed subject can make the difference between parents who participate in their children's deception and presumption, or parents who truly guide him to eternal life. If a small child tells us he thinks he's saved, do we take his words at face value? How do we test his profession, especially without seeming to doubt the child and discourage him? Many have found this book the most useful guide ever written on the topic.

Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes

Paul exhorts the young Timothy, “train yourself in godliness” (1 Tim 4:7). While not every man is called into ministry like Timothy, every man is called to pursue the same godly character. Therefore, training in godliness is God’s call on every man. In the context of family, husbands and fathers must live godly lives and take spiritual leadership in the home. With that in view, Kent Hughes has written this book to exhort and encourage men to act like men. The book covers the various areas of life and offers biblical insight on the disciplines required. It is a book that is sure to challenge every man to be more intentional in his spiritual walk.

“Grace Academy has been a HUGE blessing for our family!! The quality of academic education coupled with a full complement of extracurricular activities has given us an incredible experience. While these 2 things have contributed to the success of our kids, what has been the most impactful is the relationship they have developed with Jesus and how the teachers genuinely love and care for each student. Grace Academy’s motto is ‘Educating for Life / Impacting for Eternity’ and as a family that has been here for 13 years – we have seen this, felt this, and most importantly, lived this. We could not imagine our kids anywhere else and thank God every day for allowing us to be a part of the Grace Academy family!!”
