50 Years Strong and Still Growing: Grace Academy's Journey Through Reaccreditation
This is a significant year for Grace Academy! As we celebrate 50 years of Christian education, we are also preparing for reaccreditation through Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). This process gives us the opportunity to celebrate our strengths, identify areas for growth, and plan wisely for the future.
What is accreditation?
Accreditation is a thorough process of school evaluation and continuous improvement. It begins with a self-study in which we examine our purpose, programs, school operations, and effectiveness in fulfilling our mission. A visiting team of experienced educators then visits our campus to review our findings and measure them against established standards. Through ACSI, this review also examines how biblical truth shapes our teaching and school culture.
Why does it matter to your family?
Accreditation provides an independent review of our school’s work and supports our commitment to:
- Academic excellence: Evaluating teaching and learning against established standards.
- Biblical worldview: Helping students understand and apply God’s truth in their learning and their lives.
- Continued growth: Strengthening staff development and guiding a long-term school improvement plan.
- Future opportunities: Supporting recognition of our students’ credits and diplomas by other schools, colleges, and universities.
What will happen this school year?
Our faculty and administration are currently conducting the self-study, reviewing student learning, collecting evidence of our school’s work, and identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. Much of this preparation takes place behind the scenes as we prepare to welcome the visiting team February 28–March 3, 2027.
