The Word on the Street

Grace Academy graduates are known throughout our community.  When I meet with new Secondary families, I often mention that “Christian school” is not found in Scripture. Parents are primarily responsible for their children’s education. I tell them it is truly an honor for Grace Academy to be allowed a partnership in that process. We cannot take full credit for how a child turns out when they leave us, but I would like to think that we have impacted their lives. Parents' choice to place students under our care makes a difference.

I am writing this today to share a small but significant result of our partnership with parents: what we hear back about our students from our local communities. Grace Academy graduates are known throughout our communities, colleges, and workplaces as polite, hardworking, principled, and trustworthy. They are known to be articulate, have a firm handshake, and will look others in the eye when speaking to them. They are people of quality. It is not uncommon for an employer to move a Grace Academy student to the top of an applicant list when hearing where they attended school.

It is our honor and privilege to share in the development of your children. Each one is a treasure from God, and the weight of parenting is just that, a heavy responsibility. We gladly join you in your endeavor to raise productive members of society. But, more than that, we strive to impact each student so they might live each day for the one true God and Savior. If a child comes to the point of surrendering their life to Jesus, then the rest of life will be directed by the indwelling Holy Spirit. There will be ups and downs, highs and lows, but your child will forever be sustained through the blood of Christ, and so the end result will be glorious.

We thank each of you for your partnership.

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.  - Psalm 127:3
